Carrot paste with Pumpkin & Cheese bread

Preparation time:
60 minutes
Portions:
4

Ingredients

Do you like carrots, but are you fed up with "dry" crunching or making daily carrot juice out of it? If the answer to this question is yes - be sure to prepare this sandwich paste. It is delicious and very non-obvious. You can eat it at work, take it to school or eat it in front of the TV.

To prepare, we need:

  • 6 pieces of medium-sized carrots
  • Shelled sunflower seeds - about 80 grams
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • Butter - 50 grams
  • Marjoram, salt, and pepper
  • Galicia Pumpkin & Cheese crispbread

Preparation

  1. Peel the carrot and 3 cloves of garlic and cut them into slices or small cubes.
  2. In a thick-bottomed pot, heat the butter and add carrots and garlic to it. Fry until you feel the unusually sweet aroma of carrots in the air (about 10 minutes).
  3. After this time, add about 100 ml of water to the carrot with butter and cover it until tender.
  4. Set aside the buttery carrots to cool.
  5. When the cooked carrots cool down, blend them into a smooth paste with a teaspoon of marjoram, a little salt and pepper.
  6. Meanwhile, roast the sunflower seeds in a dry frying pan.
  7. Serve the paste on Galicia Pumpkin & Cheese crispbread, decorated with roasted sunflower seeds.
