CLASSIC HUMMUS with Sticks

Ingredients

Recipe for classic homemade chickpea hummus. Delicious and aromatic, perfect with Galicia products.

 

To prepare, we need:

  • 1 can approx. 400 g chickpeas
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 1 small clove of garlic
  • 5 tablespoons tahini sesame paste
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil or extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 130 g Captain's Sticks with poppy seeds

Preparation

1. Place the drained chickpeas in a container. Add a few tablespoons of pickle or water for cooking chickpeas and start mixing to a paste.
2. Gradually add the rest in the ingredients: lemon juice, garlic, tahini paste, about 2 pinches of salt, a pinch of pepper, sesame oil or olive oil and cumin.
3. Add more pickling while mixing to get the right paste consistency.
4. Put the ready hummus in a bowl, pour extra virgin olive oil, sprinkle with freshly ground pepper, hot paprika and chopped parsley.
5. Prepare 130 g of Captain's Sticks with poppy seeds.
